Kristen Bell seemed embarrassed to talk about it, but she did share on "Chelsea Lately" (Weeknights, 11 p.m. ET on E!) that she's come to realize her dog is racist.

When asked how she knows, Bell responded, "Well he doesn’t like people who aren’t white. That’s how I figured it out."

According to Bell, the dog flips out when anyone with more than a tan comes around. "And, to boot, he’s black," she added sheepishly.

According to an animal psychologist quoted in The Daily Beast, though, it's more a matter of the familiar vs. the unfamiliar. "Dogs are simply responding instinctively to people who are different than the ones who love and feed and care for them."

Kristen Bell can currently be seen in "Hit & Run," in theaters now. "Chelsea Lately" can be seen every night at 11 p.m. ET on E!
