Daniel Hardman was feeling pretty good about how he'd worked his way back into power, but it wouldn't last, as "Suits" (Thu., 10 p.m. ET on USA) delivered its summer finale. Rather than leave things on a cliffhanger to be resolved in the winter when the series returns, his story got wrapped up within the hour.
That's not to say he couldn't come back and stir up trouble, but he'll have to do that from outside the firm. Harvey, Jessica and Mike gathered enough evidence to prove that he'd planted a memo that led to the firm getting sued -- and Hardman looking great in the process.
After presenting it to the partners, it was a pretty easy vote to get him dismissed from the firm. Jessica took great delight in telling him he was out.
That leaves the doors wide open for brand new storylines when "Suits" returns to finish up its sophomore season in the winter on USA.
