Congressman Aaron Schock (R-III) has more than just a political party in common with Paul Ryan; Schock, too, partakes in P90X for a balance-restoring sweat. The Congressman joined us at The Huffington Post's Oasis to talk unplugging and recharging, sleep and more.

How do you unplug and recharge?
I recharge every morning when I work out. Days when I have to skip a workout I struggle. I don’t want to watch a movie or stare at the ceiling, my goal is to work out –- I can think of other things on a long run. [I do] P90X, free weights, running and swimming.

How many hours of sleep do you get each night?
I try to get six to seven hours but that’s a struggle. I feel much better dealing with less sleep and my workout, than more sleep without my workout. I spend two to two-and-a-half hours at the gym, from 6-8 a.m.

What keeps you looking and feeling best?
Eating clean foods is how I feel really good. Fresh fruits and veggies -- organic. Beauty is how you feel and that’s driven by workouts and what I eat. I feel great when I sweat a lot -- I use the sauna.

What's your quick health fix to restore your energy?
Coffee.

What foods keep you balanced?
Apples -- nothing gets me more excited than an organic honeycrisp apple.
