Steven Spielberg's Osama Bin Laden Movie Not Happening

Steven Spielberg isn't making an Osama bin Laden movie.

That's the word from Spielberg's spokesman Martin Levy, who denied a New York Post Page Six report that the director was planning to adapt Mark Owen's No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama bin Laden.

“Neither Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Studios or DreamWorks Television will be optioning Mark Owen's book, No Easy Day," Levy said.

While Spielberg isn't making No Easy Day into a feature film, Hollywood has plenty of other Bin Laden movies coming down the pike. Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty," about the death of Bin Laden, gets released in December. Meanwhile, The Weinstein Company picked up the rights to John Stockwell's Code Name Geronimo with eyes on releasing it in theaters soon.
