Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel took center stage with their own documentary series, aptly titled "Abby & Brittany." The series chronicles their entry into the adult world. The young women just graduated with masters degrees in education and talked about how they were looking forward to searching for a job.
The Hensel twins are uniquely conjoined. From the outside, it appears that they share one body though they have separate heads. The divide is more intricate than that, though, as explained by The Huffington Post. "The two have separate hearts, lungs and stomachs, among other organs, but share the same liver. They also share two arms and two legs. Each twin is responsible for one side of the body."
Because of their unique physical situation, the Hensels know that because they will have to do the job of one person together, they're likely going to have to share a salary -- as they do almost everything else.
"As, maybe, experience comes in we’d like to maybe negotiate a little bit," Abby said. "Considering we have two degrees, and because we are able to give two different perspectives or teach in two different ways."
While viewers will likely turn in out of curiosity at their lifestyle and unique situation, the New York Daily News encourages them to stick around. "As episodes pass, that [curiosity] will very likely turn to admiration," penned their writer.
Their story continues Tuesdays on "Abby & Brittany" at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
