Michael Jackson's Birthday Memories: HuffPost Readers Remember The King Of Pop

Posted: Updated:

Michael Jackson would have turned 54 on Wednesday. Any attempt at guessing what the King of Pop would be up to today is idle speculation, but what's certain is that Jackson's music had an indelible effect on the lives of millions of fans.

When a musician is as popular as Jackson, their music invariably provides the soundtrack to some of life's most memorable moments. Perhaps you heard "Bad" on the radio of your first car, danced to "Beat It" at a school dance or suffered nightmares after watching the "Thriller" video. Regardless, if you've been near a radio or television set much in the past four decades, the music of The Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson have been a part of your life.

We asked readers on Twitter to share their favorite memories of Jackson and his music. Take a look at some submissions below. You can still join by tweeting at us with the hashtag #MJmemory. As always, the comments section is open as well.
