The Republican National Convention continues in Tampa on Wednesday after a night of big speeches from the likes of Ann Romney and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who delivered the keynote address.
All eyes are now on Mitt Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan, who is giving his speech on Wednesday night.

'The America We Believe In'
Just as events were wrapping up for the night in Tampa, Romney sent an email to supporters:
Four years ago, many Americans were excited about the possibilities of a new president. I wish President Obama had succeeded, because I want America to succeed. But his promises gave way to disappointment and division.
This isn't something we have to accept.
We believe in America, and now is the moment when we can do something to turn things around.
I am running for president to help create a better future. A future where everyone who wants a job can find one. Where no senior fears for the security of their retirement. An America where every parent knows that their child will get an education that leads them to a good job and a bright horizon.
The time has come for us to put the disappointments of the last four years behind us. To put aside the divisiveness and the recriminations. To forget about what might have been, and to look ahead to what can be.
If I am elected president of these United States, I will work with all my energy and soul to restore America, to lift our eyes to a better future. Because our children deserve it, our nation depends upon it, and the peace and freedom of the world require it.
And with your help we will deliver that brighter future.

Eastwood Talks To An Empty Chair
HuffPost's Luke Johnson reports:
Mitt Romney probably hoped that surprise guest Clint Eastwood would make his day at the convention -- instead, the 82-year-old gave a rambling speech that was as disastrous as the botched bank robbery that he stopped in "Dirty Harry" while playing a jaded San Francisco cop.
Eastwood talked to an empty chair representing President Barack Obama.
"So Mr. President, how do you handle promises you've made?" he said to the chair. He then proceeded to rankle Obama for his administration's proposal to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed in New York, a plan from which he later backed down, and the war in Afghanistan, for which Romney has endorsed the same withdrawal timeline.

Moving Biography Shown Ahead Of Mitt's Speech
Republican National Convention planners picked an interesting time to feature one of the most touching moments of the night, and perhaps week.
About an hour ahead of Mitt Romney's appearance on the RNC stage on Thursday night, a biographic video of the GOP presidential candidate's life aired, eliciting powerful reactions from observers both in the arena and out. The lengthy film included footage of Romney with his father, former Michigan Governor George Romney, and other members of his family. It covered the struggles Romney and his wife, Ann, went through after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. It even covered his work with the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The sentimental production effectively topped off a weeklong effort to humanize Romney and portray him as a devoted and sensitive man.
