Barclays Center Won't Serve Booze After 1AM

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — In a bid to ease neighborhood fears about drunken late-night crowds spilling out of the Barclays Center, the New York State Liquor Authority on Wednesday approved a liquor license for the arena with a 1 a.m. cutoff time.

That's an hour earlier than the 2 a.m. cutoff time the arena requested when it applied for its liquor license. Neighbors worried that was too late, and mounted a campaign demanding a 10 p.m. halt to alcohol sales.
