From Katie and Tom to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, it's been a split-filled summer for a number of celebrity couples.

  • Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

    In late June, we were shocked to hear that <a href="" target="_hplink">Katie Holmes had filed to divorce</a> Tom Cruise after five years of marriage. (Apparently, so was he; sources said that 50-year-old actor was <a href="" target="_hplink">"blindsided" by Holmes' filing</a>.) The pair <a href="" target="_hplink">reached a settlement in record speed</a>, less than two weeks after Holmes filed divorce docs. TMZ reported that Holmes has "what amounts to primary physical custody" of the couple's daughter, Suri, while Tom has "significant custodial time with his daughter." The former couple's <a href="" target="_hplink">divorce was officially finalized</a> in late August, the <a href=" " target="_hplink">same month details of the divorce settlement</a> emerged. As per the couple's prenuptial agreement, the 33-year-old actress will reportedly receive $4.8 million in child support for Suri over the next 12 years.

  • Stevie Wonder and Kai Millard Morris

    After a three-year separation, <a href="" target="_hplink">Stevie Wonder made the move to divorce </a> his wife of 11 years, fashion designer Kai Millard Morris, in early August. The musician, whose real name is Stevland Morris, cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, <a href="" target="_hplink">according to TMZ</a>. The couple married in 2001 and have <a href="" target="_hplink">two children together, Kailand, 10, and Mandla, 7. </a>

  • Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif

    "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif <a href="" target="_hplink">called it quits in late July</a>, after nine years of marriage and three sons together. Maloof <a href="" target="_hplink">reportedly knew of her husband's </a>intentions to file for a legal separation beforehand and told <a href="" target="_hplink">HuffPost's Rob Shuter </a>of the split: "I am devoted to my children and nothing else is as important as giving them the shelter and care that I have always made my priority!" In late August, <a href="" target="_hplink">both Maloof and Nassif</a> made it official, filling for divorce and citing "irreconcilable differences."

  • Danica McKellar and Michael Verta

    In June, "Wonder Years" star <a href="" target="_hplink">Danica McKellar filed for divorce </a>from her husband of three years, composer Michael Verta, citing "irreconcilable differences." The former couple married in March 2009 and have a son named Draco who will <a href="" target="_hplink">turn two years old in September.</a> McKellar took to her website to thank her fans for support and to <a href=",,20602483,00.html" target="_hplink">muse on the difficulty of divorce.</a> "I've heard that the pain [of divorce] is second only to an actual death in the family, and that sounds about right."

  • Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada

    In August, "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada <a href="" target="_hplink">filed for divorce from her husband</a>, Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins. Days prior, Johnson was <a href="" target="_hplink">arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly </a> head-butting his new wife <a href="" target="_hplink">after she found a receipt for condoms</a>. Shortly after the news emerged, the Dolphins announced that <a href="" target="_hplink">Johnson's contract with the team would be terminated</a>.

  • Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis

    After months of <a href="" target="_hplink">dismissing rumors</a> that their relationship was on the rocks, <a href="" target="_hplink">Johnny Depp and longtime partner Vanessa Paradis</a> announced their separation in June. Though the couple were never married, they had been together for 14 years and they have two children together, Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 10.

  • Lena Headey and Peter Loughran

    In July, TMZ reported that "Game of Thrones" <a href="" target="_hplink">actress Lena Headey</a> had filed to divorce musician Peter Loughran after five years of marriage. The British actress -- who fans of the hit HBO show know for her portrayal of conniving queen Cersei Lannister -- cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the split. The couple have one son, two-year-old Wylie Elliot.
