In today's connected world, it seems like everybody is connected to some kind of electronic device at all times. It can seem impossible to cut the cord, even if it is wireless. But T.I. was determined to try on the season premiere of "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle."
He decided to take his kids on their first-ever family camping trip, but one of his rules was that they could not bring along any electronics. And he was very serious about it. So serious that he did bag checks.
And, as he expected, he found them trying to sneak things along. "I do not trust them," he said. "Not because I don’t love them, but because I know them."
It all worked out in the end, though, as the kids learned that it is possible to have good, old-fashioned fun without being attached to modern technology. The family had a great time on the trip. That kind of positivity is what T.I. wants his show to be about, as he says it's a more accurate reflection of his life.
"All that fighting and cussing each other out isn’t my idea of entertainment,” he said on The Daily Beast. “I don’t live like that and don’t want to watch anyone else living like that either."
Check out T.I.'s idea of entertainment and reality television every Monday at 9 p.m. ET on VH1's new season of "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle."
