Athena Calderone, Interior Designer, And Her Minimalist Style (VIDEO)

This Interior Designer Steals Clothes From Her Little Boy

Athena Calderone oozes style. From her meticulous New York City pad, to the way she dresses, it is clear that this lady has killer fashion sense. The Long Island native, who has lived in NYC since '95, has had her hand in everything from acting to modeling, to her real passion, design. Since she left the big screen and the catwalk she co-founded Rawlins Calderone Design, a New York-based architecture and interior design company.

The creative spirit recently invited Stylelist Blogger Network members Elisa Goodkind and Lily Mandelbaum of StyleLikeU into her home to get a better understanding of her design aesthetic and why she leans towards extremes in life, and in fashion.

Mrs. Calderone (she is married to DJ Victor Calderone) has a clear vision when it comes to how she dresses. A lover of classic, elegant and simple pieces (think The Row tank tops, Dolce & Gabbana palazzo pants and Helmut Lang stretchy leggings), her clean aesthetic also translates to her interior design preferences (she likes to mix modern with earthy, organic furniture). Maybe it's her keen eye that has made her a trendsettter -- she was "obsessed" with Edwardian and Victorian dresses ten years ago (back in the good ol' days when they cost $40 on eBay, not $500).

Although this working mother feels most fulfilled when she is creatively challenged, she still craves the few opportunities when she can turn off her busy mind completely (and that only happens when she is listening to music or dancing).

Watch the video above to find out which clothing items she steals from her little boy.
