Longtime WWE wrestler, announcer and personality Jerry Lawler collapsed ringside during "RAW" in Montreal on Monday night, according to WWE.com.
Lawlor collapsed shortly after participating in a tag-team match, as reported by the New York Post. In describing the scene at Bell Centre in Montreal, Arda Ocal, a sports broadcaster in Canada, made certain to make it clear this was not a part of the show.
Describing himself on his official website as "simultaneously one of the most loved and hated men in pro wrestling," the 62-year-old Lawler is one of the most well-known personalities in wrestling after so many years in and around the ring. As news of his collapse spread, #PrayForLawler was quickly trending on Twitter.
WWE announcer Michael Cole kept fans at the event updated on Lawler's condition and the sports entertainment company kept Twitter followers aware of developments.
UPDATE 1:34 a.m. EST: According to various reports, including Memphis Wrestling, Lawler suffered a heart attack and is in stable condition.
Awful Announcing exchanged tweets with someone identifying himself as an associate producer for WWE Network, who also suggested that Lawler had suffered a heart attack.

WWE.com says Lawler collapsed at the announcers' table and was taken from the arena to a hospital.
