'Hoarders': Debra Has Self-Awareness, But Still No Self-Control (VIDEO)

'Hoarders': Self-Awareness Doesn't Equal Self-Control

Debra seemed to have a heightened sense of self-awareness on the latest episode of "Hoarders," but that didn't equate to a greater self-control. Instead, she was aware of her hoarding tendencies, and then upset by them. Again, though, not enough to be able to do anything about it.

Dorothy Breininger estimated that Debra had 20,000 pieces of clothing in her hoard, but that didn't mean Debra was ready to part with any of it.

"Why throw away a brand new thing?” she told Dorothy.

"Because you don't have space," Dorothy countered.

While organizers were able to get the house cleaned, and even took the extra step of giving the home a bit of a makeover, Debra still wasn't very happy.

"I hate this whole bathroom. I hate it. No. I mean, I hate it," she said. And then, in another moment of self-awareness, added, "I’m always disappointed."

"Hoarders" continues with new stories each Monday at 9 p.m. ET on A&E.
