You know the feeling you have when someone "accidentally" eats your lunch? You know, the one you'd painstakingly labeled before you put it in the office fridge?
Well, the next time your meal goes missing, take solace in these incredible photos from Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, India. While office lunch thefts may result in passive-aggressive notes, rest assured that in nature there's nothing passive about the encounter.
According to the Daily Mail, the photos depict a fierce battle between a female tigress and a male tiger after the younger male stole her dinner. "The fight was deadly," the photographer, Dhritiman Mukherjee, told the paper. "And the male was so powerful that female could die easily.'
After the tigress realized her meal had been stolen, she laid in wait for the offending tiger to return. The Metro reports she surprised the male, then slashed him with her right paw. Seven seconds later, the tiger fight ended and--despite his larger size--the male fled.
India's Ranthambhore National Park is renowned for its tiger conservation program, according to Time Magazine.
