Apparently cheating on your taxes excuses all other types.
Dating site AshleyMadison.com has a new billboard up saying as much. The service, which uses the tagline, "Life is short. Have an affair," launched the campaign yesterday featuring a photo of Romney and the phrase “if cheating on your taxes is ok... so is AshleyMadison.com.”
This isn't the first time the controversial site has entered the political fray. Last year, they erected a billboard in December endorsing then-Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, who has admitted to cheating on wives, according to ThinkProgress.
Romney, the Republican nominee for president, has been accused of using a variety of loopholes -- including offshore accounts -- to lower his tax rate. Romney has vowed that he won’t release any tax information other than his 2010 and 2011 returns, fueling speculation about how much he’s paid in taxes.
Harry Reid (D-Nev.) even alleged that Romney paid nothing in income taxes over the last 10 years. Romney responded by saying that he hadn’t paid taxes below a rate of 13 percent during that time period.
The hullabaloo surrounding Romney’s taxes has gotten so extreme that Hustler founder Larry Flynt has offered a $1 million reward for information on Romney’s taxes.
