Here's an update for "Entourage" fans salivating for news about the status of the HBO comedy's rumored spinoff movie: series creator Doug Ellin is almost finished writing the script, Deadline reports.

In an email interview, the Ellin told Deadline that he's written 110 pages of the script, and hopes to "finish by Sunday (I pray)."

While Ellin's progress on the script is encouraging, HBO Co-President of Programming Michael Lombaro cautioned at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour that the network hasn't officially green-lit the movie. "It's not a done deal just yet. After we take a look at the script," Lombardo said. "We still have to make deals with the cast and see if this is something we want to do."

The "Entourage" finale teed up the direction of the movie when Ari Gold was offered his dream job as the head of a major studio. Ellin confirms to Deadline that Gold's new job will be the focus of the film, which picks up six months after the finale.

Still, the movie will feature plenty of the boys being the boys. Previewing the direction of the movie in January, Mark Wahlberg told GQ that it's "a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness -- the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want.”
