Lynn Bedford, 77, Dragged From Car By Cop After ID Refusal (VIDEO)

WATCH: Cop Drags Elderly Woman During Traffic Stop

Did this officer go too far?

An arrest on Aug. 19, caught on video, appears to show a Texas officer dragging 77-year-old Lynn Bedford out of her SUV because she wouldn't hand over her identification, NBC News reported.

Bedford, of Cleburne, was stopped on Aug. 19 for allegedly driving 66 in a 50-mph zone. Keene Police Sgt. Gene Geheb demanded that she let him see her ID, but she refused, claiming that she had a bladder infection and needed to go to the bathroom.

On video, Bedford declines Geheb's demands several times. A verbal back and forth quickly escalates into threats.

"No, you give [the ID] to me now, or I'm going to take you to jail," Geheb says.

"Well, go ahead," she responds.

Geheb then pulls her out of the vehicle and onto the ground, where he arrests her.

Bedford was released later that day, but she immediately lawyered up and is deciding whether to press charges against the officer. Her lawyer claims that she was injured during the arrest, but details of the injury weren't released.

In a written statement to NBC-DFW, Keene Police Chief Rocky Alberti stood by his officer's actions.

"This incident has been reviewed thoroughly by the Keene Police Department and the City of Keene Administration," Alberti wrote. "All parties have concluded that Sgt. Geheb did not violate any state laws or department policies, and in fact was following department policy in regards to violators not providing identification."
