Gwyneth Paltrow Lands New Gig... At Max Factor

Struggling actress Gwyneth Paltrow has finally come up with a way to stay in her Prada pumps. (Just kidding -- Gwynnie pretty much owns the world right now. But she did land a new gig.)

Paltrow just inked a deal with Max Factor to serve as the company's "creative inspiration," according to Women's Wear Daily. What does it mean to be an official source of inspiration? Well, it sounds like your basic spokesperson gig: Paltrow will star in a six-month ad campaign, in which she’ll model seven different looks "created by the brand’s makeup artists to reflect the different aspects of her life."

"These were to be inspired by her life and the different roles she has to play — model, actress, mother, singer," said Pat McGrath, creative director for the Procter & Gamble-owned makeup brand, although we're secretly hoping one of the roles will be "Muppeteer."

Gwynnie has another beauty gig, as the face of a Hugo Boss fragrance. And then there's the famous $90 white T-shirts she shills for GOOP.

Hey, even the World's Best Dressed woman has to pay the bills (for all of those organic facial peels).

Gwen MIGHT want to do some research (if she hasn't already) and learn that Max Factor heir Andrew Luster DRUGGED, RAPED AND MAIMED WOMEN. Is her pride as a woman THAT little that she must take any money they offer her, to be a spokesperson? Ummm. I had a lot of respect for her..but now it's lessened considerably. I encourage ALL women to BOYCOTT ANY AND MAX FACTOR PRODUCTS.

Ms. Paltrow is struggling, yes, for some show of worth to Hollywood directors. Why not try just being a mother for a while, that in itself is a 24 hour/day job.

But once you put on the $l0,000 Channel suit and start wearing ridiculous $l,800 shoes, you've got the absurd notion that you DESERVE this and people had better start giving me things.

As I discovered years ago when I lost my ability to work, your life can make a sea change in one day and you had better be strong. Is she? Or will she be appearing next at supermall openings? I've seen her act, she has talent.
