Make sure you have plenty of spyware defense before you start Googling Sofia Vergara. The Modern Family star recently made McAffee’s “Most Dangerous” list, along with a ton of other Tr3s faves.
The anti-virus company adds warnings to famous names every year in an effort to protect users from web attacks. Hackers often capitalize on popular stars and set up bogus sites to infiltrate home computers.
So what other Latinas should you be wary of? According to the study, Shakira, Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes and Selena Gomez all warrant raising a red flag.
Of course, as long as you’re staying on legitimate sites everything should be ok. But watch out for those suspicious pop-ups.
“In the celebrity culture of today, consumers expect to be able to connect to the internet to catch up with their favorite stars,” McAffee rep Paula Greve said. “But due to the wealth of data and high interaction, they often forget the risks they are taking by clicking on links.”
