The Biggest Fall Street Style Trend Is Printed Jackets (PHOTOS)

Jackets Are On Top In Fall 2012 Street Style

New York Fashion Week is the perfect time to spot trends on the street. A major trend this fall is interesting jackets: from camouflage to military green, and leather to mixed prints.

Leather is always a fall favorite. It transitions well into the cool weather that is upon us. It was interesting to see how each woman created a different vibe with her leather jacket. Some wore theirs with a great pair of jeans for a comfy look, others chose a dress giving a cute outfit a little edge. But what about those days when it's just a bit brisk? Find a light weight fabric with a bold print or bright color and throw it on over a skirt and blouse or a pair of cut-off shorts and tee. There was no end to the number of bold jacket choices on the streets of New York during Fashion Week -- including some metallics. Another thing I noticed while I was out shooting is that camo and military green are making a come-back. These jackets are still being paired traditionally with black boots, but what I loved more than that was when a camo jacket was worn over a pencil skirt and a graphic tee and polished off with a pair of bright heels.

Check out how the stylish people on the street of New York are wearing their jackets this fall.
