Kate Middleton, Prince William Receive Awesome Greeting In Solomon Islands (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Kate Middleton & Prince William Receive Awesome Greeting In Solomon Islands

Kate Middleton and Prince William are accustomed to arriving in style, but we can't imagine they were prepared for the awesome greeting that awaited them in the Solomon Islands.

Despite the unfortunate media frenzy caused by the publishing of topless photos of Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in the capital city of Honiara to continue their epic Diamond Jubilee royal tour through Southeast Asia. As soon as they stepped off their private jet, they were surrounded by nearly the country's entire population and -- wait for it -- a group of raffia loin cloth-clad warriors dancing, chanting and carrying spears, bows and musical instruments.

The couple then headed to St. Barnabus Cathedral in a makeshift war canoe built around a white Toyota -- not the traditional British carriage ride they're used to, but we suspect they were pretty game to go local. Kate was even dressed festively in a brightly-colored patterned Jonathan Saunders dress, but she did make sure to wear a more traditional hat by Jane Taylor (she was en route to a church service after all).

After attending a Jubilee Thanksgiving Service, it was time for the British royals to party with the locals. The duke and duchess sat down with the Governor General and his wife for a meal at the Government House. Kate, always the gracious guest, wore a gifted strapless dress from a local store while Will donned quite the dapper baby blue tropical top. And since Kate has a pretty flawless trend-setting track record, something tells us that tropical-themed clothing is going to make a major comeback this year...

Check out the photos of Kate and Will's trip to the Solomon Islands. Didn't they receive the best greeting ever?
