Seems like Annie Lennox has finally found the man her sweet dreams are made of.
The Scottish singer tied the knot with Dr. Mitch Besser in a private ceremony during a boat party on the River Thames last Saturday, her rep confirms to People. Besser, a Harvard-educated gynecologist who founded the organization mothers2mothers, is the third husband for Lennox, who swore off marriage following her divorces from previous spouses Radha Raman and Uri Fruchtmann.
According to the Daily Mail, Lennox and Besser celebrated their nuptials with 150 guests, including actor Colin Firth and comedian Ruby Wax. Lennox's daughters Lola, 22, and Tali, 19, served as bridesmaids as their mom walked down the aisle in a long white gown with a lace bolero shrug and a 1920s-style vintage headpiece.
Lennox even took to her Facebook page to share a photo from her special day, writing, "Wedding flowers 15th September 2012."
The 57-year-old crooner met Besser, also 57, while working with his African-based foundation, which helps prevent the HIV transmission from mother to child. Lennox, an avid activist for HIV charities, fell for Besser while he was still married in 2009.
Here's hoping third time's the charm!
