Tim Burton's unique vision probably wasn't the easiest sell when he first hit the scene. But the newest episode of the web series "Rejected Pitches" proves that if studio executives had their way, "Edward Scissorhands" could have been quite a different experience.
Although to be fair, the logline of "Edward Scissorhands" doesn't exactly scream success: A pasty, shy robot boy with scissors for hands falls in love with his adopted sister. At the time, it's unlikely that many audiences would have guessed that the robot boy in question would go onto become one of the biggest movie stars in the world.
Check out the video above to watch Tim Burton get rejected harder than Edward does in the film. (Take that, movie from 1990!)
