Actress Amanda Bynes has finally broken her silence after a DUI arrest and multiple episodes of bizarre behavior. However it seems as if Bynes is in denial about her recent troubles, saying she doesn't drink and insisting that she is "doing amazing."

I am doing amazing... I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line. I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false.

People noted that Bynes was "polite, respectful and upbeat on the phone," but sources paint a different picture. "People around Amanda are really concerned about her," a source, who has spent time with Bynes in recent months, told People. "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."

Bynes was arrested for DUI back in April after she sideswiped a police car with her black BMW while driving in West Hollywood.

Since April, Bynes' behavior has become more troubling.

She was involved in more vehicular incidents, including multiple alleged hit-and-runs which resulted in her license being revoked. Last week she was photographed smoking a "drug pipe" in her car and marijuana residue was seen in the front compartment. On Monday, she was shopping at a boutique in West Hollywood where she locked herself in a dressing room for almost two hours, according to TMZ. She also supposedly walked out wearing a bikini top from the store under her shirt that she forgot to take off.

Those close to Bynes are worried about her and they believe her problems go much deeper than legal woes. TMZ spoke with multiple individuals who have had contact with Bynes over the recent months and they described the "deteriorating" condition of her mental health. Police also found her driving aimlessly around Burbank Airport without a license before impounding her car.

However, based on her interview with People, the 26-year-old believes she is fine. She is ready to resume her acting career, a profession she "retired" from in June 2010. Her CAA agents have allegedly asked her to please get help, but she refused.
