Nishi, whose works have been shown in Japan, Belgium, and Germany, discusses the influence of dreams on his art and the power of revealing the unexpected.

"Discovering Columbus" features an 810-square foot, fully-furnished living room in the sky, where visitors can ascend six stories to view the statue in unprecedented proximity.

Watch above as the artist gives a tour his work. Extra bonus? A feisty Mayor Bloomberg sniping at reporters.
