What is a hippie anymore in the cynical, technology-soaked age? Is it a man in a funny hat in a park? Is it a woman who likes to wear hemp jewelry to a party at her parents house? Or is it a person fighting for justice in an unjust world? Who knows?
The Princeton Review has assembled a list of the best colleges for the Birkenstock-wearing, tree-hugging, clove-smoking vegetarians. Their list ranges from private liberal arts colleges in New York and Oregon, to state schools in Florida and Washington State and then finally back to Oregon again. As you can see, Oregon is a big part of the list.
Check out our slide show of the top 10 hippie schools. Then tell us, do you think this list is just and fair? Let us know in the comments section!
