Anti-Obama Ad Featuring False Statements Runs In Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Other Newspapers

A full-page attack ad against President Barack Obama featuring several false statements ran in a number of newspapers on Sunday, including the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

The Tampa Bay Times first posted on the ad, which claims Obama "will move America to force Christian organizations to pay for abortions" and "force all states to permit same-sex marriages." The ad also makes false statements about "Islamic Sharia Law," undocumented immigrants and Occupy protesters.

Actually, I think an ad like this is helpful to the president. Only those hopelessly filled with hate, bigoted, people of low intellect and faulty education, will agree with this. People who already made up their minds to vote for anybody but Obama. Undecideds will not be convinced by this, quite to the contrary. This hateful drivel is totally counterproductive.

Obama in 2001:

“Number one, whenever we define a previable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a – a child, a nine-month-old – child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it – it would essentially bar abortions, because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an antiabortion statute.”

This he said in defense of his vote against protecting the LIFE of a baby that survived an abortion. See...if we call it a baby at nine months gestation, and it survives an abortion but is left to die after the botched abortion, that is killing. But a six-month baby, if it survives an abortion, he's against protecting it's life because then it could be argued that it was killed in the womb.

Even Obama know abortion kills a baby.....

While this ad is chock full of debatable points, I would like to focus on one in particualar:

"...Force Christian schools to hire non-Christian teachers."

If Christian schools are receiving government money, in the form of vouchers, then they lose the priveledge of getting to hire only Christian teachers. I do not understand why a non-Christian would want to teach at a parochial school to begin with. I can tell you at least at the Christian school I attended, teachers were paid significantly less than teachers at surrounding public schools.

I am not saying I agree or disagree with the voucher system, I'll save that for another day.

Right or wrong this ad is not from the Republicans. It is from a PAC that is libertarian.

All the insults on this thread insulting Republicans is not based on the actions of Republicans, but of a different party entirely.

But I am sure the facts will not stop the liberals from insulting republicans.
