Philipp Plein knows just how to earn a little extra attention. The German designer first hit our radar after casting Lindsay Lohan in his Spring 2012 ad campaign and sticking "Gossip Girl" star Ed Westwick on his Spring/Summer 2013 menswear runway.
In his latest show in Milan, he cast model Lea T., one of the most famous transsexual strutters, to walk the runway. Lea is one of our fave faces in the industry -- kudos to Plein for casting a wide net when stacking his model roster!
Lea T. has already walked plenty of runways, including a swimsuit show during Brazil's Fashion Week and a spin on Alexandre Herchcovitch's catwalk. But this time around, Plein made things more interesting: he handed Lea T. a cigarette à la Kate Moss in Louis Vuitton, adding some drama to the traditional runway walk.
Do cigarettes belong on Fashion Week runways? Debatable. But Lea T., who underwent gender reassignment surgery last year, sure does -- girl looks fierce walking for Philipp Plein. Fingers crossed she shows up at the Paris Fashion Week shows...
