The big question going into this sixth season premiere of "Private Practice" was which man Addison was going to choose. The answer came soon enough, with Addison enjoying a beautiful morning alongside ... Jake! But just because the decision was made, didn't mean she was feeling confident and secure in it. In fact, she looked nearly on the verge of sabotaging the relationship, but Jake wasn't going to allow that.
Instead, he told her he was just as unsure and scared and in love as she was -- he just wasn't afraid to say it. He'd waited long enough for her, and now that she was his, he wasn't going to let her go. And to prove it, he declared that he'd decided he was moving in with her. Fans needn't feel too badly for Sam, though, as he found a woman of his own. And he seems to genuinely be happy with where he's at in his life and in this burgeoning new relationship.
Another question was how Tim Daly was going to be written out. Would he go to prison? In fact, he didn't even make it to his trial. Ultimately, it was revealed that he'd died of a heart attack while out on a morning run, leaving Violet stunned and alone.
Add to that triplets for Charlotte and Cooper and a possible serious medical issue for Sheldon, and it's looking to be a season of the unexpected as "Private Practice" continues on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
