Finn once again proved herself a little too headstrong for her own good on the season premiere of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Against Russell's orders, she thought she had a crooked cop totally fooled, but instead he led her right to Russell's granddaughter. This would have been good news, expect she had no back-up and there was no cell service there. In other words, she'd just made herself another prisoner.
The usually calm and collected Russell was wracked with emotion and guilt over the kidnapping of his granddaughter. But thanks to a great team being so good at what they do, they were able to determine the kidnapper's location. Luckily, Russell also deduced that the guy would be sympathetic to his granddaughter, and thus unlikely to hurt her.
In the end, the kidnapper took his own life rather than get arrested. As for McKeen, the dirty cop who got this whole ball rolling, Russell pulled some strings to make sure he got sent to a federal penitentiary where he'd mostly spend his time alone. And McKeen didn't like that at all, which suited Russell just fine.
Season 13 of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" continues on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
