One of the reasons to go into rehab for many struggling addicts is to break the cycle of their connections in the outside world. If they're living in a world of drugs and surrounded by people who are doing and supplying drugs, it can be nearly impossible to affect positive change. On "Rehab with Dr. Drew," though, that temptation apparently came to the facility.
Erika was visited by her boyfriend, Stefanos, who is literally twice her age. And it appeared that he slipped something to the struggling 22-year old addict.
Later, a counselor noticed Erika wasn't herself, saying, "Your eyes keep kind of doing weird things.”
“I think I’m also tripping out ‘cause I’m like, wait, where am I? Why am I here? Who are these people?” Erika said. A quick test confirmed that she was high on something.
"Either [Erika and Stefanos] both get help and take this journey together, or they go their own ways," the center's resident tech Jennifer told VH1.com. "The sick can’t lead the sick."
"Rehab with Dr. Drew" continues on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.
