The Best Book Designs of 2011 have been named by 'Design Observer', one of the leading websites for design criticism and intelligent thinking around the world around us.

When they announced their 50 Books / 50 Covers competition last year, we couldn't wait to see what their special 35-person advisory panel, made up of some of the biggest names in book design, would select.

The winners from 2011 have now been announced, and nominations are now open for this year's competition.
