Bristol Palin: Mom And I Are Both Redneck Women

Bristol Palin joked her and her mother, former Republican Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, are "both" redneck women.

"I think she's a redneck woman, too," Palin told On The Red Carpet after her latest performance on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars.". "I think we both are."

Palin made the observation after hearing that her mother was "singing and dancing" along with the song "Redneck Woman" by Gretchen Wilson, which Palin danced to Monday night.

Mark Ballas, Palin's dance partner on the show, noted the country number is Palin's favorite song. Palin said the song and dance, along with video of her and Ballas during a trip to the shooting range, reveal elements of her true personality.

"I think that shows my roots and shows what I like to do, and it's not all about the spray tans and all that glitzy stuff," Palin said. "I like to be outside, be doing stuff like that."
