Gillian Anderson Sizzles In Plunging Neckline In Rome (PHOTOS)

Agent Mulder is going to drop his jaw when he sees Scully, aka actress Gillian Anderson, in this ultra-sexy gown.

Anderson, 44, snaked onto the red carpet for the "Great Expectations" premiere during the 2012 RomaFictionFest in Rome, Italy, in a long black frock with green and orange stripes around the neckline, paired with a simple black clutch and practically no jewelry.

The actress, who recently split from her partner Mark Griffiths, has been rumored to be cozying up to her old "X-Files" co-star David Duchovny. She's also been launching a career comeback, appearing in BBC miniseries and in the TV show "The Fall", as well as indie films.

True to the real actresses out there, she so downplayed the natural beauty and took on the FBI role in extreme and realistic business like suits, etc. Glad to see the tigress beneath!

Far more lovely today than back in the X-files days, she aged like fine wine... she's leaned up a little which accentuates her cheekbones, the fair hair suits her, though she looked great as a redhead back in the day. The biggest change of all is what makes it...long hair. There are precious few women under say their mid-50's that look better with short hair than long. Yes, of course there are some, I did say a few, Jamie Lee is the poster child, I love how she looks short and 100% gray, all class, but look at Sigourney with hers grown out, stunning. Now for the young ones, look at Miley doing the Brigette Neilson 80's coiff...blachh!
