On a night that mostly belonged to Adam Greenberg's long-awaited redemption in a major league uniform, one young fan managed to briefly steal the spotlight in Marlins Park.
During the ninth inning in a tie game against the Mets, New York outfielder Jordany Valdespin hit a high foul ball to the seats on the third base side. A boy donning a Miami Heat hat reached over the railing and made an amazing backhanded catch.
The impressive grab brought praise from the announcers in the broadcast booth, and even earned a few big hugs in the stands for making the difficult grab.
