'Tagg Romney' Dupes College Republicans On 'New Girl'

Tagg Romney, son of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was referenced in a major storyline in the latest episode of Fox's "New Girl."

Schmidt, a character on the show played by Max Greenfield, attempted to assume the identity of Tagg Romney after being made fun of for looking like one of the Romney brood. Introducing himself as "Tugg Romney," Schmidt fools a group of "Kappas for Romney" until he makes a major factual error.

"There's nothing I love more than just getting out on the water with Dad, freezing cold dawn, couple of cold beers in hand," Schmidt says, reflecting on "father-son time" with Mitt Romney.

When one of the "Kappas" informs Schmidt that Romney doesn't drink because he's a Mormon, the jig is up.
