"People thought Kerry's clear win over Bush in 2004 was a game changer. In fact, the same comments about Bush were made that are being made tonight about Obama. That he looked detached and was dictated to. After the second debate no one will remember the first. I was stunned that the 47 percent comments didnt come up, but I definitely expect Obama to bring up that Romney thought killing Bin Laden wasnt worth it in 2007." - docboss83

“Romney won the debate. But challengers normally win the 1st debate. Reagan beat Carter, Mondale beat Reagan, Clinton beat Bush, Dole beat Clinton, Kerry beat Bush. It's one of those inconvenient facts the media doesn't talk about because they like drama. The most important thing is that Obama didn't commit any fatal mistakes. Romney has to convince a slice of the people who support Obama to switch to him. He didn't do that. Even if Romney convince 6 out of 10 of the undecideds to break his way, he would still lose Ohio and Virginia, and that still loses the election. Unless Romney can do that it's a pyrrhic victory.” - dopper0189
