EDITOR'S NOTE: Our friends at TruTV have found the most patently annoying things rich people say about regular joe' and janes.

The leaked Mitt Romney fundraiser video that’s been in the news seems to show what Romney really thinks of the unclean masses. But Romney isn’t the first wealthy person to say some pretty stupid things about those of us who don’t have car elevators. Here are five dumb things rich people say about you:

  • Gina Rinehart is an heiress who is the world’s richest woman and she has a point — poor people are just too lazy to be born into the right family. (<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/30/gina-rinehart-drinking-smoking_n_1843371.html">via The Huffington Post</a>)

  • I think the law would beg to differ. (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leona_Helmsley">via Wikipedia</a>)

  • Herman Cain has obviously never been on Craigslist to look for a job. (via <a href="http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/10/05/336423/her-cain-jobless-blame-yourself/">thinkprogress.org</a>)

  • Hey Lady, could ya tell this to the group of hobos that live by my apartment building? Thanks. (<a href="http://stupidest.com/the-top-10-stupidest-most-incredibly-annoying-things-said-by-rich-people-1-of-the-money-1-of-the-compassion-and-1-of-the-intelligence/">via stupidest.com</a>)

  • It’s no wonder George W. doesn’t get invited to more parties. (<a href="http://www.dubyaspeak.com/campaigner">via dubyaspeak.com</a>)

Gina Rinehart should spend more time working out.

Well the upside to these parasites is that one way or another they are self defeating. They either keep stealing more money until is only the 1% that have money and then they feed of themselves, until all is a waisteland. There opression is so sudden that the populice rises up and takes back there country, and those that were opressing them, well it doesnt work out that well for them. The third is when other goverments get involved, and slowly wait for the goverment, and the people , get weak enough, well thats not pretty either. The one option we have is to use the stop gaps that were put into our constitution, befor it goes any farther, and we cant recover the little that is left.

This election is about control of the Supreme Court. If the Republicans get control again, they will appoint their own partisan Judges to interpret the Constitution FURTHER in favor of corporations over people. They will also AMEND THE CONSTITUTION AGAIN, just like they did under Bush, to change the Constitution, permanently outlawing a national health care program, removing citizen's rights to sue large corporations, and overturning Roe V. Wade.

The Sopreme Court issue, is defffenitly realy, but with this election there is so much more at stake. Were looking at a crack down on every thing from freedom of speach, to due process, both of which have been challenged, part of it taken , and has not been restored. When bush started the censorship of news agencys by out lawing broadcast of the pictures of the flag draped coffins of fallen service men, then allowed fox new to carry on as a "news" agency both were very telling. By denieing due process and the right of Habius Corpus, to the Gauntonimoe prisoners, he weakened our Democracy terrilble. What that said to the rest of the world was that our system was not strong enough to stand up to a true test. He further strengthened that by, allowing what our fathers, faught against in previous wars, the torture of prisoners. Our countries strength wa litteraly gutted at that point. The sad part those rights and protection were lost then, and there has been no attempt to restore them.

What happens when the tax burden is shifted from those who could take their share out of the money set aside for the early Summer vacation-and still go on vacation-to those families that give up buying a car to get someone to work or a college fund for a child?

These people and their vitriolic quotes go to show what is happening in American right now- we don't have an upper class anymore- we have something much closer to an Aristocracy, and it's frightening

Get a load of Gina Reinhart's "let them eat cake" comment above. As a silver spoon heiress, she knows what she's talking about. Yeah...right. These super wealthy people like to flatter their own egos by convincing themselves that the level of "hard work" determines how wealthy a person is. This ignores the fact that some of the hardest workers live in poverty, and this number will go up as wages and benefits are lowered in order to increase CEO compensation packages.

This is the redistribution of wealth that Romney says only began when Obama became President. This is the redistribution the Republicans are for. Redistribute the wealth upward. That;s what Reagan and Bush did and Romney wants to continue. Obama has been trying to get some of the weath back into the middle class. The reason the economy is in the tank is because the middle class, which is the largest lass in the US, doesn't have any money to spend. The Republican policies have stripped all the wealth out of the middle class. There is not enough money circulating through the economy. The rich and the corporations and banks are hoarding it and stashing it out of the country. The Republicans start squealing when Obama tries to redistribute some of it back into the hands of the 99%. The Republicans are dead set against that happening and have made it their priority to keep it from happening. But what is their true agenda for distroying the economy of the USA.

I disagree with your analogy that the middle class does not have any money. My wife and I are a middle class family. Combined we make enough to live comfortably and afford a few luxuries for ourselves from time to time. However unlike most middle class families, I say most not all we live within our means. In other words our credit cards carry no balance, are never maxed out, AND we put money into savings every month.

When my wife and I get together with our friends and I listen to them talk about their financial picture it shocks me. How can couples who make 6 figure incomes combined, live pay check to pay check because of their huge credit card bills. The middle class is alive and well and has plenty of money. The problem is most of them go into serious debt to "keep up with the Jones'". If the middle class in the country started living within their means instead of on borrowed means things would be a lot different.

I mean honestly in less than a years time my wife and I have paid off my car and nearly all of my student loans AND we were able to save around $13,000. So do not tell me the middle class are getting screwed, my wife and I are doing pretty well. What is screwed up is the so called middle class living on credit, that is stupid and bad economic practice for a family.

Some people measure success in how many others they help succeed in life. They reach down and help people out of poverty and clothe, feed, house, educate, inspire and mentor them. Others, however, measure success in how many are below them nd how much higher they themselves are. Their position in life is to push more people down and to keep them there. And then there are those who do charity work on food lines and believe they are helping while simultaneously denying them the means, or the assistance, they need to crawl out of poverty on their own. For them, they think that's compassion.
