Arianna appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box with Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to discuss job creation.

Citing the statistic that 65 percent of jobs are created by small businesses, Schultz said that his company has "created thousands of jobs" by providing low interest small business loans.

"You have other fellow CEOs who have joined in your crusade," Arianna said.

Schultz, who issued an open letter last summer encouraging business leaders to do all they can to spur job growth, said that America is still far from getting the entire country back to work.

"[The unemployed] have been left behind, and I think we're going about our daily work in America like everything is fine," he said. "There are so many people being left behind and we have felt at Starbucks we can't wait for government solutions ... businesses have to step up and do their share."
