This week was a show of styles from opposite ends of the spectrum. On one end, we saw Jennifer Lopez attending Paris Fashion Week with her boyfriend and daughter in tow. We aren't sure who was better dressed, J.Lo or little Emme (clad in Chanel, of course).
At the other end of the style spectrum, we saw political wives supporting their men in conservative skirt suits. While Ann Romney's white skirt suit was sleek and sophisticated, Michelle Obama played it safe (and kinda snoozy) in a deep blue ensemble. For that reason, she didn't make the best-dressed list this time. Better luck next debate!
Check out our picks for the week's best-dressed celebrities, and keep clicking to see previous weeks' contenders. Also, don't forget to head over to our roundup of the week's worst-dressed here.

Miley Cyrus In Valentino
Sleek and simple, this jumpsuit is an elegant departure from what we've seen Miley in recently -- and we like it. Black, white and red make for a stunning color combination and the sexy heels added just the right amont of polish to this look. Los Angeles, May 15th Photo Credit: WireImage
Jennifer Lopez L'Wren Scott
Somehow the diva manages to marry sexy and demure in the same outfit. The collar keeps her looking prim, while the body-conscious silhouette shows off her gorgeous figure. New York City, May 8th Photo Credit: FilmMagic
Amber Valletta
The model's look is a lesson in how to make a simple shift dress anything but boring. Add amazing accessories (those shoes! that clutch!) and a burgundy pout, and you're all set. Los Angeles, May 8th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Queen Latifah
The rapper-turned-actress knows how to show off her shape. The V-neck frames her face, which is highlighted with gorgeous hair and makeup, and the sparkles add dimension and shine to an otherwise classic silhouette. New York City, May 8th Photo Credit: WireImage
Ashanti In Stella McCartney
The "Miracle Dress" continues its reign of power -- and with good reason. The side panels create the illusion of an hourglass silhouette and the knee-length hem is so elegant. The singer's skin tone shines against that deep emerald hue. New York City, May 8th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Holly Robinson Peete
A wiggle dress (slim-fitting, with a knee-length hemline) is the perfect way to show off one's figure without looking like a character from "Jersey Shore." We love how the actress' chose a material that gives the dress some depth, and the color is just right for spring. May 8th Photo Credit: FilmMagic
Julianne Hough
We've said it before, and we'll say it again: A fit-and-flare dress flatters every figure. The diminutive star shows off toned arms in this sleeveless frock and the short hemline lengthens her legs (as do those sexy stilettos). Overall, her look is fresh thanks to pulled-back hair, clean makeup and the minimalist nature of the frock. New York City, May 9th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Sienna Miller In Matthew Williamson
Ever since her turn in spiked leather at the Met Gala, the British beauty is back on our style radar. Light blue lace is so ladylike, but Miller balanced it out with pointy-toe heels and a perspex clutch that added an unexpected, edgy element to her sweet look. London, May 12th Photo Credit: WireImage
Michelle Rodriguez In Hervé Leger
This is a clever take on the classic bandage dress. The long gown is understated, but the piping has the effect of tracing the "Fast & Furious 6" star's silhouette. Seoul, May 13th Photo Credit: WireImage
Uma Thurman In Fendi
The actress is pure elegance in this long white gown. The architectural details in the gently rounded sleeves and gathered neckline add interest, while the body-skimming silhouette shows off Thurman's lovely figure. New York City, May 13th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Coco Rocha In Zac Posen
"The Face" judge wows in a dramatic gown. The pale mauve hue lets details like the structured bodice, pleating and fishtail train take the spotlight. New York City, May 13th Photo Credit: FilmMagic
Amber Valletta
The supermodel is stunning in this dress. The reasoning is simple: The fit-and-flare shape emphasizes her hourglass figure, and the Dali-esque pattern is arresting without distracting. Los Angeles, May 13th Photo Credit: Getty Images for MAC Cosmetics
Adriana Lima
Va-va-va-voom! The Victoria's Secret model stuns in this fuchsia gown. The plunging neckline and high slit give off a sexy vibe, but the floor-length hem, full shoulders and easy hairdo keep her look casual. Los Angeles, May 14th Photo Credit: WireImage
Kerry Washington In Marc By Marc Jacobs
The "Scandal" star knows how to wear a leather dress. Opt for a classic silhouette in an unexpected shade. New York City, May 14th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Alice Eve In Zuhair Murad
Talk about showing off your shape! The black piping has the effect of framing her upper body, but it's the waist-cinching band that is really key in creating that hourglass silhouette. Los Angeles, May 14th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Kate Beckinsale In Alberta Ferretti
Now this is how to keep a black dress from being boring. The simple neckline and structured bodice complement the mullet hemline (which shows off her legs). But it's her accessories that are really the main event here: the chandelier earrings and those fun, yet sexy stilettos. Los Angeles, May 14th Photo Credit: FlimMagic
Carey Mulligan In Balenciaga by Alexander Wang
A jumpsuit can be difficult to pull off, but Mulligan is a style star and knows what she's doing. She kept her hair pulled off her face and her makeup minimal so the curved neckline and stark simplicity of the outfit could take center stage. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: WireImage
Cara Delevingne In Burberry
WOW. This outfit would stop traffic. The model's gown is revealing, without showing off too much. She plays up the vamp-y vibe with diamonds, tousled locks and that berry-red pout. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Cindy Crawford In Roberto Cavalli
She's a legend for a reason. This white gown takes no prisoners: The revealing neckline is the showstopper here, but Cindy takes it down a notch with her casual hairdo. She held back on accessories -- smart, since the dress is the main attraction. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Nicole Kidman In Dior
This dress has us crying tears of joy. The strapless neckline is so simple, but the volume in the skirt is pure couture craftmanship. The floral detail has us looking twice and the shoes add just the right pop of color. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Carey Mulligan In Dior
We had to look twice here -- "The Great Gatsby" actress looks an awful lot like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Ralph_Lauren_dress_of_Gwyneth_Paltrow" target="_hplink">Gwyneth Paltrow in her famous pink gown</a>. Wearing such a pale hue on the milky-skinned actress was a risk, but Mulligan balanced it out with a deep red lip color. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Lana Del Rey In Lena Hoschek
The singer is the epitome of old Hollywood glamour in this gown. The baroque pattern draws the focus to her bust and waist and then down to the ladylike train. She topped off the look with retro curls, chandelier earrings and cat eyeliner. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Freida Pinto In Gucci
Bright pink is beautiful when done properly. Pinto shines in this raspberry-hued frock -- her skin glows against the rose tones. The halter neckline shows off her shoulders, while the gold belt adds a Grecian vibe. Cannes, May 15th Photo Credit: WireImage
Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung
WOW. What an original garment. Between the studded belt, peplum detail at the waist, patterned skirt and transparent panel at the hem, we could've easily been overwhelmed. But the "Scandal" <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/15/kerry-washington-mtv-movie-awards-dress_n_3083648.html" target="_blank">star</a> is a style maven and knows what she's doing: She kept her hair and makeup super simple to let the dress speak for itself. New York City, May 6th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Jessica Biel In Giambattista Valli
It may not be safety pins or a mohawk, but Biel's take on punk at the Met Gala was impressive. The lace tights were an elegant, yet on-theme addition to a black gown that was both figure-flattering (that waist! that neckline!) and dramatic, thanks to a major train. New York City, May 6th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Kate Bosworth In Miu Miu
A fit-and-flare silhouette looks great on everyone. The cinched-in waistline creates curves, while the flouncy hemline draws the attention to long legs and stunning shoes. Los Angeles, May 8th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Zoe Saldana In Vionnet
Though this dress caused the actress to almost have a <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/02/zoe-saldana-wardrobe-malfunction-photos_n_3203374.html?ir=Style" target="_blank">wardrobe malfunction</a>, we can't help but love it. The top is so simple; as a result, her hair and makeup take the spotlight. Then, our focus shifted down to the float-y, voluminous skirt which shows off her legs (and those shoes!). London, May 2nd Photo Credit: Getty Images
Amber Valleta In Roland Mouret
The <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/15/amber-valletta-without-makeup-photos_n_2867691.html" target="_blank">supermodel</a> stuns in this black and white ensemble. A top and skirt is pretty standard, unless the top in question is a one-shouldered number that highlights the collarbone and the pencil skirt is body-skimming and oh-so-elegant. Add a pretty pink lip, and we're sold. Los Angeles, May 2nd Photo Credit: Getty Images
Bella Thorne
The "<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/anne-hilker/bella-thorne_b_1762029.html" target="_blank">Shake It Up</a>" actress shines in a visually arresting dress. The green pattern complements her milky skin tone and red hair, while the shape of the dress accentuates her hourglass silhouette. Los Angeles, May 3rd Photo Credit: Getty Images
Karolina Kurkova In Givenchy
The luxury in wearing all black is that you can take risks with shapes and, of course, add some flavor with accessories. The supermodel and "<a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/25/the-face-nigel-barker_n_1702260.html" target="_blank">The Face</a>" judge plays with silhouettes in this tuxedo-inspired minidress and keeps things interesting with a red clutch and seriously sexy heels. New York City, May 4th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Emma Roberts In Jonathan Saunders
The "We're The Millers" <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/emma-roberts/" target="_blank">actress</a> is positively ethereal in this floor-length gown. Roberts maintains a sophisticated vibe thanks to the body-skimming silhouette and details like dark nail art. New York City, May 5th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Alice Eve In Roksanda Ilincic
We love when a celebrity takes a chance with a bold hue. The "<a href="http://news.moviefone.com/2013/05/02/star-trek-into-darkness-london-premiere_n_3203578.html" target="_blank">Star Trek Into Darkness</a>" actress is the epitome of spring in this tangerine dress that elongates her figure, thanks to a cleverly disguised empire waist and the white fabric inset. Her silver pumps add sex appeal without distracting. Mexico City, May 7th Photo Credit: WireImage
Jordana Brewster In Jenny Packham
A column gown is just right when there are fun details (pearls!) to keep the eye moving. It helps that the <a href="http://movies.yahoo.com/news/fast-furious-6-director-justin-lin-responds-james-000758716.html" target="_blank">actress</a>' gorgeous dark hair contrasts so nicely with the pale frock. London, May 7th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Michelle Rodriguez
There's something about a woman in a red dress that is just so alluring. <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/24/michelle-rodriguez-quits-acting_n_3149776.html" target="_blank">Rodriguez</a> shows off her toned arms with a strapless neckline, and the "V" pattern creates the illusion of curves. London, May 7th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Audrey Tautou
The <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/03/audrey-tautou-style_n_790560.html#s194969&title=February_2002" target="_blank">French actress</a> knows how to wear frills. What could be overly fussy is toned down with a beautifully tailored jacket, an asymmetrical skirt that shows off her long legs and minimal accessories. Paris, May 3rd Photo Credit: Getty Images
Michelle Rodriquez
It's not often that a lady leaning against a car hits our best-dressed list, but this dress is so flattering on the actress that we couldn't resist. The sleek tank dress may seem banal, until you consider the side cut-outs that show off some skin, while also creating the "illusion dress" effect. London, May 7th Photo Credit: Getty Images for Universal Pictures
Kate Middleton In Tara Jarmo
Last week, the Duchess shined in light blue; this week she's trying her hand at mango ... and winning. The rosy shade complements the expectant mom's glow, and the open coat shows off her best accessory: that bump. Winchester, April 29th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Heidi Klum
A short, tight dress can easily go wrong. Follow Klum's example on how to get it right: Keep the top covered and the length should be at least mid-thigh (or else you stray into tacky territory). Los Angeles, April 24th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Gwyneth Paltrow In Narciso Rodriguez
The "Iron Man 3" actress has been making the rounds this week and looking flawless doing so. This dress looks gorgeous on her, because it draws attention to her upper body and the graphic detail creates an hourglass shape. Christina Ricci In Oscar de la Renta
Black and white with a pop of red is one of our favorite color combinations. The secret to wearing something so busy is in keeping the shape of the dress as simple as possible and highlighting your waist. New York City, April 27th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Jessica Paré In Antonio Berardi
The "Mad Men" actress stuns in this dark column gown. Her sideswept bangs mirror the one-shouldered neckline creating lovely symmetry. Her earrings are a gorgeous point of focus, and her hair and makeup complement rather than distract from her overall look. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Kate Mara In Prada
The "House Of Cards" actress has great style (much like her famous sister, Rooney). This white gown is so elegant -- from the bracelet-length sleeves to the sweet bow at the neckline -- we can totally imagine Audrey Hepburn wearing something similar. Her swept-back 'do and smokey eye makeup add a bit of allure to an already smashing look. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Sofia Vergara In Herve L. Leroux
The "Modern Family" bombshell knows which colors work best on her, and teal is at the top of that list. The jewel tone sets off her olive complexion and shows off her rich, brunette locks. Vergara kept her look edgy with a stack of bracelets, some serious baubles and that cute cutout. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Katy Perry In Giambattista Valli Couture
The pop star is looking gorgeous lately in understated looks that are a departure from her normally over-the-top outfits. Her gown is simple enough (thumbs up for the structured bodice and millefeuille pleating), but it's the simple hair and makeup, combined with the Kelly green hue, that has us agog. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Kerry Washington In Wes Gordon
The "Scandal" actress is both gorgeous and daring when it comes to style, which makes for a winning combination in our eyes. The halter style frames her beautiful face and shows off her arms and shoulders while balancing out the printed skirt. Minimal jewelry and accessories are important when wearing such a busy pattern. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Getty Images
Connie Britton In Temperley London
The "Nashville" star shines in this bright cobalt gown that shows off her pale skin and light hair. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Amy Poehler In Basler
The "Parks And Recreation" actress is a shining example of how to wear a peplum. The subtle volume at the hips creates the illusion of a small waist, and it balances out the sweet cap sleeves. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Julia Louis-Dreyfus In Dolce & Gabbana
We love how the "Veep" star always wears earrings that bring the focus of her outfit to her pretty face, without overshadowing her stunning figure. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: Bloomberg via Getty Images
Chrissy Teigen
How can the model go wrong with a one-shouldered, sequined gown? Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: WireImage
Nicole Kidman In Emilio Pucci
Lilac looks lovely on pale redheads. The silhouette is very simple, but the textured fabric keeps the eye moving. Her loose curls and minimal makeup are all this pretty frock needs. Washington D.C., April 27th Photo Credit: WireImage
Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji
The Oscar-winning actress often wears designer Tadashi Shoji, and we understand why.The lace detail in this gown accentuates her waist, creating an hourglass silhouette, while the flowing skirt makes her look long and lean. Beijing, April 26th Photo Credit: ChinaFotoPress via Getty Images
