Blumhouse Of Horrors Opens In Downtown LA From The Producers Of 'Paranormal Activity' (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: LA's Scariest Haunted House?

Halloween season brings out ghouls, goblins and, of course, a fair share of haunted houses. But not many cities boast Hollywood heavyweights to amp up the scares and make the screams all the more real. Who better than the producers of the horrifying "Paranormal Activity" franchise, the film "Insidious" and the upcoming "Sinister" to take Halloween to the next level.

Starting Thursday, Blumhouse Productions will open the creepy doors of the Blumhouse Of Horrors haunted house in downtown Los Angeles. The fully immersive haunted house features over 40 actors running wild and scaring the bejesus out of patrons. The best part is that it's located in the 88-year-old Variety Arts Theater, once known as “The Playhouse,” which long ago hosted performances by industry greats like Laurel & Hardy and Clark Gable and featured speeches by historical figures like Eleanor Roosevelt and Dorothy Parker.

Details:

-Open from 6 p.m. to midnight, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Oct. 4 through Oct. 28; and daily from Monday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, Nov. 3.
-Ticket options start at $29 and can be purchased here.
-The experience is appropriate for children ages 12 and up there will be select weekend daytime “lights-on” experiences for families with younger children.
-Located at 940 S. Figueroa St., between 9th and 10th Streets.
