First Debate Dominates Newspaper Front Pages (PHOTOS)

'DIRECT MITT': How The Debate Played In The Papers

Thursday's papers were full of news of Wednesday night's presidential debate. All across the country, pictures of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney dominated front pages.

There were roughly three tacks that papers took. Some, such as the New York Post or the Denver Post, flatly declared Romney the winner. "DIRECT MITT!" the New York tabloid screamed. Many went for broader summations of the issues discussed. And some went whimsical, such as RedEye's "WALL STREET MAIN STREET SESAME STREET," a reference to Romney's pledge to take money away from PBS.

Below, see how the debate played out.
