Help Sought To Find Missing New York Teen

A family in Brooklyn, N.Y., is seeking help from the public in finding a loved one who has been missing more than a month.
.
Michael Suarez Jr., 19, was last seen on August 31, at his 61st St. home in Mapleton.

"He was supposed to be on his way to my house and he just never made it here." The teen's aunt, Linda Suarez, told The Huffington Post.

Suarez said it is out of character for her nephew to run away and the family is concerned because he has mental health issues.

"He is schizophrenic and he has not had his medication," she said.

The teen knows how to ride the subway system and there have been some unconfirmed sightings of him.

"People have said they have seen him in various places but every time we go to the location he’s not there," Linda Suarez said

Michael Suarez Jr. has brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 170 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577.

"It's hard. It's very hard," Linda Suarez said. "We just want him home."
