Looking for some sustenance after you take part in the 35th annual Chicago Marathon this Sunday?

Chicago restaurants have risen to the occasion and many near the route are offering special menu items and discounts for those who partake in the race.

In addition to the options listed below, both Eater Chicago and Patch have assembled guides with more dining options for marathoners.

  • Discount at The Florentine

    These crab cakes look like a phenomenal way to cap off the big race day at <a href="http://www.e2hospitality.com/florentine-chicago/" target="_hplink">The Florentine,</a> 151 W. Adams St. Show off your race bib for 25 percent off any menu item Friday through Sunday.

  • Marathon Pancakes at Filini

    The week leading up to the marathon, <a href="http://www.filinichicago.com/">Filini</a> will be adding high-protein pancakes to the breakfast menu. Wholegrain pancakes will come topped with fat-free vanilla Greek yogurt, blueberries, crushed almonds and hazelnuts. Pancakes are normally $15 but next week will be offered for $9.

  • Dine and Dash at Mercat a la Planxa

    Through the weekend of the marathon, <a href="http://mercatchicago.com/">Mercat a la Planxa</a> will feature a “Dine and Dash” menu for $35, with four courses of protein-packed indulgences including pollo con judias, a chicken breast served with truffle rosemary white beans and grilled asparagus; and arroz a la cazuela, saffron chicken broth with rice, chorizo, poached chicken and Maine lobster. Runners who come in Sunday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. are welcome to a three-course brunch with endless trips to the dessert and charcuterie stations for $25 per person.

  • Brunch at 2 Sparrows

    Runners showing their bibs will be treated to 26 percent off their brunch -- including food and non-alcoholic beverages -- on Sunday at <a href="http://2sparrowschicago.com/" target="_hplink">2 Sparrows</a>, 553 W. Diversey.

  • Finish Your Plate Menu at Eleven City Diner

    Looking for cheap grub practically adjacent to the finish line? The <a href="http://www.elevencitydiner.com/" target="_hplink">Eleven City Diner</a>, 1112 S. Wabash, has you covered with their special "Finish Your Plate" menu for those who complete the race. Selections include mish mosh pasta, deep dish paella and veggie and beef sliders.

  • Marathon Menu at Lockwood

    On the Saturday before the race, <a href="http://www.lockwoodrestaurant.com/">Lockwood Restaurant</a> is serving a Marathon Menu of unlimited pasta for $18. Runners and non-runners can enjoy a choice of strozzapretti, linguini or pappardelle pasta, and a choice of marinara, alfredo or pesto sauce. All pastas are finished with fresh basil from the rooftop garden!

  • Egg Tacos at Mercadito

    For the marathon, guests who show their BIB number will receive a free order of<a href="http://www.mercaditorestaurants.com/chicago/"> Mercadito’s tacos de huevos a la Mexicana</a>, or egg tacos, to reload on protein after the race. Normally $12.50, guests can enjoy the scrambled egg tacos with fresh pico de gallo, queso fresco, black bean hash, chile de árbol salsa and avocado. An additional menu or drink item must be purchased to redeem the free tacos, which are limited to one order per guest.

  • Handmade Pasta at Waldorf Astoria's Balsan

    Marathoners seeking an extra special treat prior to the race should head to <a href="http://www.balsanrestaurant.com/" target="_hplink">Balsan at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago</a>, 11 E. Walton. There, world renowned chef Heinz Beck will be serving up handmade pasta at 11:30 a.m.

  • 26.2 Percent Off at Lottie's Pub

    Pass that guac! <a href="http://lottiespub.com/" target="_hplink">Lottie's Pub</a>, 1925 W. Cortland, is offering 26.2 percent off marathoners' entire group on Sunday.

  • Discount at Rockit Bar & Grill

    <a href="http://www.rockitbarandgrill.com/" target="_hplink">Rockit Bar & Grill</a>, 22 W. Hubbard, will be offering a 20 percent discount off its menu for marathoners, including its Sunday brunch menu.
