The whole discussion of Romney's supped "bi partisan" abilities is built on the lie that Obama has none..... The reality is it takes both sides to act in a "bi partisan" manner, and the Republican of the Congress Obama had to deal with have been nothing but obstructive to Obama... they have publicly stated their number one goal was to keep Obama from being reelected. It is not Obama who has problems being "bi partisan" it is the Republicans.

People that worked with him in Mass. Are coming out saying he didn't work well with the democrats, that he would come to meetings with a security detail, like he was afraid the the dems! He closed down an elevated so he could use it without " mixing " with the democrats! Also if you look in the buisness section of the Huffington post , you will find a list of 10 more things that weren't true!

During the first televised debate, to my complete astonishment and living up to his stated credo that he "likes to fire people", I watched in total amazement as he essentially fired the moderator, Jim Lehrer, who works for PBS, as he announced that he would cut the federal funding for public television and Big Bird. What a callous man about 70 million Americans got just a glimpse of who acts with such arrogant disregard.

Did any of you read the article? This is a horribly written partisan article that acts like Romney didn't work across the aisle because he didn't approve every single piece of legislation the Dems gave him. This article is laughable.

Yet it is consistent with other reports that his relationship with the legislators and his favorability declined over his term as governor. When he left office he had an overall favorability rating of 32% with Independents (31%) and Democrats(12%). That would at least suggest that that they weren't happy with how he was doing the job.

What a foolish analysis. The whole country was going through a recession at the time he left office. Nearly every Governor had similar approval ratings. He still worked across party lines and got big things done.

Mitt Romney as the Governor of MA - chose one elevator as his to use
and ONLY HIM.
This had never happened before Mittens arrived.

He had security ropes set up outside of his Office.
LOL

State legislators, including Mayors, could never get a meeting with him.
In fact when one Mayor finally did, no one believed him. They, all,
thought he was joking.

Mitt Romney was the most disliked Governor in the history of MA.
Each time, Mitt said, "my state,"during his debate people laughed.
No one liked Mitt as Governor and they still don't like Mitt.
This coming November, President Obama will
win "Mitt's state" of MA.
Also, President Obama will win Mitt's birthplace state, Michigan.

Why do I support President Obama despite the debate?
Are Americans better off today than four years?

Country is more at peace with itself having ended one war, eliminated Osama Bin Laden and his operational structure, and winding down on another war. The troops are returning home and their near and extended families are relieved, and so is the nation.

The unemployment rate is at 8% and perhaps equal percentage is under-employed. That leaves 85%+ who have a job and are doing economically very well with their high tech and cutting edge skills. Unemployment rate among college grads is 4%.

Auto and related industries are a lot stronger than 4 yrs ago. Before Obama took office the economy was on the verge of collapse needing TARP and other stimulus programs and loosing tens of thousands of jobs every month.

Proof of American satisfaction can be seen by the over-crowded event-stadiums be they sports, musical, other cultural entertainment, race tracks, county fairs and casinos.

Thanks to oil companies, Americans are hurting at the pump and some have likely reduced their non-productive spending.

Americans are happy about their healthcare insurance with children on their parent's plan till age 26; and there is no discrimination for pre-existing conditions. Many Americans or their employers have received a refund on their healthcare premiums.

Congress (both parties) could reduce our healthcare costs by permitting the 55+ to BUY INTO Medicare; if that is OK with the politicians' paymasters - private insurance carriers.

"The unemployment rate of college graduates who are at least 25 years old is just 4.1 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In contrast, 13.8 percent of high school dropouts, 8.7 percent of high school graduates, and 7.7 percent of college dropouts are unemployed."
This was from HP in FEB 2012. There are similar stats in USA today, International Business Times etc.. Just google unemployment rate for college grads. To be comprehensive-when college grads loose there jobs they have been as likely as non college grads to have long periods of unemployment in this economy.
