If you aren't already familiar with the Thrilling Adventure Hour, then consider this a public service. "A staged production in the style of old-time radio," the show regularly runs at Largo in Los Angeles, but it recently hopped over to Brooklyn for a night of shows at the Bell House, which is where we caught it for the first time.
A gleeful affair complete with performers dressed in their finest, a delightful house band and addictive recurring characters, it's just the sort of program that would make you sprawl out in the floor every night in front of a radio. The Hour has a rotating cast of regulars including Paul F. Tompkins, Busy Philipps, James Urbaniak and Paget Brewster, as well as celebrity guests (the kinds of celebrities you want to see), such as John Hodgman, Scott Adsit, Colin Hanks and so forth.
New York photographer Mindy Tucker was on hand to shoot the Bell House performance, which yielded a group shot (among others) that gave us serious nerdgasms. Check out the gallery below and subscribe to the Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast right here.
