Rosie O'Donnell has decided to share her true feelings with the world: She loves "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
O'Donnell revealed that she is a huge fan of the "Honey Boo Boo" family, including boisterous beauty pageant youngster Alana Thompson, during an interview with People magazine. O'Donnell comapres little Honey Boo Boo to former child screen legend Shirley Temple.
"I think that little girl, Honey Boo Boo, she is like Shirley Temple," O'Donnell tells People about the 7-year-old reality star. "She has a presence and an intellect that goes way beyond her years."
O'Donnell is even willing to bestow the family with a big gift. "I'd love to meet them," she says, "and buy them a house."
The Thompson family will likely not accept a new house from the comedian or from anyone else.
In recent negotiations, TLC reportedly offered to provide the family with a larger, more secure house, but Mama June refused, according to TMZ. She reportedly wants to stay in their humble Georgia abode because she always decorates it big for Christmas and is very involved in the town.
The "Honey Boo Boo" stars can probably afford to buy a new house when and if they ever want one. TLC is reportedly paying the family between $15,000 and $20,000 per episode for the upcoming season, TMZ reported.
Popularity has gotten the Georgia family additional episodes of "Honey Boo Boo." The new "Honey Boo Boo" episodes will be holiday themed, including Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas specials, according to E! News.
"'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' has become a pop culture phenomenon," Amy Winter, general manager of TLC, said in a statement. "What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family's unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers."
"Honey Boo Boo" has averaged 2.3 million viewers per episode, E! News reported.
Alana Thompson has gotten herself a slew of celeb fans, including RuPaul, Anderson Cooper and Snooki.
