Crossroads GPS Makes $4 Million Ad Buy

Conservative group Crossroads GPS will begin running $4 million worth of ads Tuesday against Democratic senatorial candidates Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, former North Dakota Attorney General Heidi Heitkamp and Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).

The ads go after the five candidates, two incumbents and two senate hopefuls for "their big-government agenda," Nate Hodson, Crossroads GPS director of state and regional media relations, said in a press release.

All of the ads will air on network and cable TV.

"Senator Sherrod Brown's vision for Ohio is out of focus," a voiceover says in the Ohio ad, accusing Brown of voting to raise taxes.

The Baldwin ad says she wants an "extreme takeover of health care," while the anti-Heitkamp ad points out her support for Obamacare. The ad against Kaine says his support for the budget deal would hurt Virginia jobs.
