Grand Canyon Time-Lapse Video Shows The National Park Like Never Before

WATCH: Stunning Grand Canyon Time-Lapse

While nothing beats visiting the actual location, this time-lapse video of the Grand Canyon still captures the beauty of one of America's most iconic national parks.

Shot over seven weeks earlier this year by New England-based production company GOTM Films, the video was created from over 80,000 photos taken in and around the canyon.

Located in northwest Arizona, the Grand Canyon is an estimated 18 miles wide and one mile deep.

The video may not be the first of its kind, but with the incorporation of May's solar eclipse it is certainly one of the most striking. More stunning examples of the power of time-lapse photography can be seen in this video from Iceland and this time-lapse from the Pacific Northwest.
