Most men would love to be confused for Sofia Vergara’s boyfriend. Her 20 year-old son Manolo isn’t one of them.
In the latest issue of the UK edition of OK Magazine, the 40 year-old actress was asked how she feels when people mistakenly assume that her son is her boyfriend or brother.
“I love that! Especially when they say he's my brother,” Vergara told OK Magazine. “But he hates it if I'm with him and someone says, 'Oh tell your sister to come,' and I don't correct them. He's like, 'Tell them you're my mom!' But I don't."
The Colombian actress insists that Manolo, 20, has a hard time accepting his mother’s ‘Sex Symbol’ image.
“Six months ago there was this Internet story saying I was the third most beautiful woman, behind Mila Kunis and someone else who is, like 20 years younger than me,” Vergara told the UK edition of Glamour magazine. "Then the next day, I’d just woken up - not looking my best, because I’d had a few drinks the night before - and he starts calling my boyfriend, going, ‘Hey, come take a look at the third most beautiful woman in the world!’”
Despite Manolo’s best efforts, Vergara is proud of her sexy status. In the November issue of Lucky magazine Vergara said that her breasts, “have opened doors."
“I want to show all this off while I still have it,” the actress told Lucky. “I already know I am going to get a breast lift. Then, maybe one day, when I am done with being sexy, I will just get rid of them.”
Manolo may be counting down the days to the point that his mom is “done with being sexy.” The real question is will that day ever come? A picture of Vergara's derriere and it's unplanned public appearance at the Emmy's went viral earlier this year, a good indicator that Manolo's moment won't be happening anytime soon.
